2495 Olive Crescent Trisateles emortualis

Wingspan 29-35 mm.A rare species, which is resident in one or two scattered deciduous woodland areas in the south of England. There have also been a handful of probable migrant records on the south coast.
The foodplants are oak (Quercus) and beech (Fagus), the larvae preferring withered and fallen leaves.
The adults are on the wing in June and July, and the species overwinters as a pupa.
