2249 Beautiful Arches Blepharita satura

([Denis & Schiffermüller], 1775)

Wingspan 40-50 mm.

Similar in appearance to a stockier version of Dark Brocade, its British status is uncertain, as many early records are in doubt or were misidentifications, and there are no recent records.

Abroad, the species flies from July to October and is mainly found in wooded habitats.

The larvae feed on a variety of herbaceous plants and trees.
