2102a Radford's Flame Shoulder Ochropleura leucogaster

(Freyer, 1831)

Wingspan 34-37 mm.

Rather similar to the Flame Shoulder (O. plecta), but has longer forewings with smaller stigmata and whiter hindwings.

There have only been a handful of records in Britain, mostly in the south and south-west of England, and mostly in October, though the moth flies earlier on the continent.

The larvae feed on low plants including trefoils (Lotus spp.).
