Wingspan c.32-50mm.

A single record of this species was trapped at light in November 1995 at Praze-an-Beeble, Cornwall, by Adrian Spalding, and remains the only British record.

The species occurs naturally from North Africa eastwards to Asia, and occasional presumed migrants have been noted in some parts of southern Europe.

The arrival of the British record occurred during a period of migrant activity elsewhere in the south-west.
