2078 Least Black Arches Nola confusalis

(Herrich-Schäffer, 1847)

Wingspan 16-18 mm.

Locally distributed over a large part of Britain, this species frequents woodland, parks and gardens.

It flies in May and June, and can be attracted to light.

The larvae feed on lime (Tilia spp.), evergreen oak (Quercus ilex) and other trees and bushes.
