Wingspan c. 25mm.A single specimen of this far eastern species was trapped by Leon Truscott in Cornwall on 23 June 2007.
Ranging from India through south-east Asia to Australia, in many parts it is considered a pest species, feeding on fruit, especially peaches, and is known as the Yellow Peach Moth.
It is considered unlikely to be a genuine vagrant and is more likely to have been imported in its early stages with fruit. Larvae of this species were also found in imported fruit from Pakistan at West Midlands airport in October 2007.
