(Haworth, 1811)

Wingspan 17-20 mm.

A scarce species, though distributed widely over much of Britain except for the north of Scotland.

The flight period is July and August, from late evening onwards, and is attracted to light.

The larvae feed on the catkins, and later the leaves of sallow (Salix).
